Craft in the service of wood

Aura Atelier is the design studio and workshop of Gerard Del Monte. Gerard holds a B.F.A. degree in Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design. His creative influences include the restraint of Zen, classical mathematical and architectural proportions, and Bauhaus functionality. From his shop in Albuquerque NM, he crafts elegant designs in wood featuring silky finishes of hand-sanded, hand-rubbed oil and wax – a joy to feel. Produced in limited editions; commissions welcomed.
